Nestled in the heart of  Uttarbehadi, Dhangadhi, a vibrant city of Kailali district in Sudurpashchim Province Nepal, lies the sacred enclave of Shivpuri Dham- a place where spirituality, history, and natural beauty unite to offer seekers a profound experience of divine serenity. It is also called as Uttarameshwaram Shivpuri Dham. It is home to the largest Shiva Linga in Nepal. In addition to its 108-foot tall Shiva Linga, the dham features 108 Tulsi math, a 108-kilogram bell, 108 bells, and a flowing stream, making it a beautiful divine sanctuary. 

Various events, including the Kumbh Mela, are held here, and thousands of Hindu devotees from both Nepal and India visit the site for Darshan. It is also the best place for commercial purpose at the time of Kumbha Mela and other hindu festivals.

The temple complex, with its ancient carvings and spiritual atmosphere, stands as a living testimony to Nepal’s enduring spiritual legacy. At its core, Shivpuri Dham is much more than just a temple—it is a sanctuary for the soul. The name "Shivpuri" itself evokes the essence of Lord Shiva and signifies a city (puri) of peace and divine energy. Ninglashaini Bhagwati Temple, DashrathChand Baitadi

 

The Ninglashaini Bhagwati Temple, located in Dasharathchand Municipality, Baitadi District, holds great religious and mythological significance. This temple is considered one of the most sacred Hindu temples in the Sudurpaschim Province of Nepal.

Every year, during the Maha Ashtami festival, a grand jatra (religious fair) is held at the temple, where goats and he buffaloes are sacrificed as offerings to the goddess. It is a tradition to bring sacrificial animals to the temple on the Saptami (seventh day) of Dashain, and on Maha Ashtami (eighth day), the sacrifices take place as part of the ritual. This temple is known for conducting one of the highest numbers of animal sacrifices in the entire Sudurpashchim region during Maha Ashtami. Not only Nepalese devotees but also worshippers from various parts of India come to pay their respects to Goddess Ninglashaini and seek her blessings.

Annual Festivals and Rituals

The Ninglashaini Bhagwati Temple hosts four major jatras (festivals) throughout the year:

  1. Maha Ashtami Jatra (During Dashain) – Animal sacrifices are performed.
  2. Chaitra Ashtami JatraIncludes animal sacrifices.
  3. Ananta Chaturdashi MelaA religious fair without animal sacrifices.
  4. Mangsir Shukla Purnima MelaA peaceful festival without sacrifices.




In an effort to maintain peace and sanctity during these events, the Dehimadau area surrounding the temple has been declared an alcohol-free zone during the festivals and religious celebrations.

The Ninglashaini Temple is not only a religious site but also a cultural heritage that showcases Nepal’s age-old traditions, rituals, and spiritual devotion. It is believed that Goddess Ninglashaini is a powerful divinity who grants protection, prosperity, and success to her devotees.

Tripura Sundari Bhagwati Temple, Baitadi

 

Tripura Sundari Temple, is located at Dasharathchand Municipality in Baitadi District. This temple is one of the most famous temples in Sudurpaschim Province, Nepal. It is regarded as one of the nine sacred goddess temples of Sudurpaschim and is worshipped as Mata Bhagwati. Devotees from Nepal and India visit this temple to seek blessings, believing that Goddess Tripura Sundari fulfils the wishes of her devotees.

The Tripura Sundari Temple holds immense religious and historical significance. It is believed that this temple dates back several centuries, with its origins rooted in ancient Hindu mythology. The Navadurga (nine goddesses) are highly revered in Sudurpaschim Nepal, and Tripura Sundari is considered among the most powerful goddesses.

Every year, especially during Dashain, a grand fair (Mela) is held at the temple, where thousands of devotees participate in special worship rituals. Animal sacrifices (Bali) are also performed as part of traditional offerings to the goddess. The temple complex offers a breath-taking panoramic view of the surrounding hills and valleys, making it a perfect place for both spiritual seekers and nature lovers.

प्रथम प्रदेशस्तरीय कृषि तथा पशुपंक्षी मेला प्रदर्शनी २०८१ (Agriculture and Live-stock Expo)

सुदूरपश्चिम प्रदेश उत्पादित रैथाने तथा स्थानीय बाली वस्तुसहित समग्र कृषि पशुपन्छी र मत्स्य क्षेत्रको विकास विकासको एउटा झलक एकै थलोमा देखाउनेगरी कैलाली जिल्लाको धनगढीमा सुदूरपश्चिम प्रदेश स्थापना भएपछिको पहिलो "प्रदेश स्तरीय कृषि तथा पशुपंक्षी मेला प्रदर्शनी २०८१"
"सुदूरपश्चिम प्रदेशको समृद्धिका लागि समग्र कृषि क्षेत्रको आधुनिकीकरण, व्यवसायिकरण, विविधिकरण र औद्योगिकरण" भन्ने मूल नाराका साथ सञ्चालन गर्न लागिएको छ। यसको सफल कार्यकालका लागि प्रदेश सरकार अन्तर्गतको भूमि व्यवस्था कृषि तथा सहकारी मन्त्रालयको नेतृत्वमा प्रदेशभित्र क्रियाशील तीनै तहका सरकारी र निजी क्षेत्रहरूको बीच समन्वय एवं सहकार्य हुने व्यवस्था मिलाएको छ। तराई पहाड र हिमाल सबै किसिमको भौगोलिक अवस्था र हावापानी विदमान रहेको यस प्रदेश मा कृषिका विभिन्न क्षेत्रहरूको विकास र विस्तार मार्फत थप रोजगारी सिर्जना गर्न तथा कृषकहरूको आयस्तर बढाउन सकिने अपार सम्भावना रहेको छ ! 
कृषि मेला प्रदर्शनीका उद्देश्यहरू
१. विगतदेखि हालसम्म विभिन्न निकायहरूको प्रयासबाट प्रदेशको कृषि पशुपन्छी र मत्स्य विकासको क्षेत्रमा भएको प्रगतिको एउटा झलक प्रदर्शन गर्ने ।
२. कृषि पशुपंक्षी तथा मत्स्य विकासको क्षेत्रमा हाल प्रचलित नविन प्रविधिहरूको प्रदर्शनी गर्नुका साथै विषय विशेषज्ञसँगको अन्तरक्रिया मार्फत थप जानकारी उपलब्ध गराउने ।
३. एकै थलोमा कृषक, कृषि समूह, सहकारी, कृषि व्यवसायिक र उद्योगीहरूको प्रतिनिधित्व तथा सहयोग पुर्‍याउने सरकारी एवम् गैरसरकारी निकायका प्रतिनिधिहरूलाई उपस्थित गराएर समन्वय र सहकार्य बढवा दिने ।
४. प्रदेशमा उत्पादित कृषि पशुपंक्षी र मत्स्यजन्य सामग्रीहरूको (रैथाने / स्थानीय समेतको) उचित मूल्यमा बिक्री गर्न सहयोग पुर्‍याउने तथा उपभोक्ताहरुलाई पनि लाभान्वित गर्ने ।
५. गैरकाष्ट एवं पैदावार तथा घरेलु एवं साना उद्योगबाट उत्पादित सामग्रीको अरुको प्रदर्शनी र बिक्री वितरणका साथै स्थानीय कला संस्कृतिको प्रवर्धनमा समेत टेवा पुर्याउने ।

 मेला प्रदर्शनीका अपेक्षित उपलब्धिहरू
१. प्रदेशका ९ वटै जिल्ला तथा ८८ वटा स्थानीय तहहरूबाट कम्तिमा ४५०० जना अगुवा कृषकहरू र १ लाख ५० हजार भन्दा बढी आम उपभोक्ताहरुले मेला प्रदर्शनीको प्रत्यक्ष अवलोकन गर्ने छन् ।
२. कृषि पशुपन्छी र मत्स्य क्षेत्रका विभिन्न विद्याहरूको विकास र विस्तारका लागि महत्त्वपूर्ण योगदान दिइरहेका प्रदेशका उत्कृष्ट कृषक व्यवसायहरूको उल्लेखनीय सङ्ख्यामा सक्रिय सहभागिता रहनेछ। साथै १ करोड भन्दा बढीको कारोबार हुनेछ।
३. प्रदेशभित्र कृषि तथा पशु विज्ञान विषय अध्ययन गरिरहेका र पढ्दै कमाउदै कार्यक्रममा संलग्न रहेका कम्तिमा २००० जना विद्यार्थीले मेला प्रदर्शनीको प्रत्यक्ष अवलोकन गरी थप लाभ लिनेछन् ।
४. प्रदेशको समग्र कृषि विकास तथा विस्तारका लागि महत्त्वपूर्ण सेवा टेवा प्रदान गरी रहेका तीनै तहका सरकारी गैरसरकारी (विकास साझेदार समेत) र निजी क्षेत्रका निकायका प्रतिनिधिहरूको सक्रिय सहभागिता रहनेछ।
५. प्रदेश र स्थानीय तहका प्रतिनिधिहरू र रणनीति निर्माताहरूबाट समेत मेला प्रदर्शनीको अवलोकनका साथै समग्र कृषि क्षेत्रको विकास र विस्तारका लागि आवश्यक सल्लाह सुझावहरू प्राप्त हुनेछन् ।
 प्रदेशभित्र रहेका रैथाने एवं स्थानीय बाली प्रस्तुतका साथै स्थानीय ६. कला संस्कृति र खाद्य परिकारहरूको प्रदर्शनीमा समेत टेवा पुग्नेछ
